Alex Bottaro

Professor at the Università di Genova since 2003 and IDEX Chair Professor at the Institut Nationale Polytechnique in Toulouse, France, since 2014.
PhD in 1988 from Rutgers University, NJ, USA.
30+ years' research experience in fluid dynamics, in particular waves and vortices, adjoint methods, flow control, modal and non-modal growth of instabilities.
25+ years' supervision experience.
Over 70 refereed journal publications and one patent.
President of the Scientific Committee of the French Foundation on Aeronautics and Space (RTRA STAE, 2007-2013).
Member of the IUTAM General Assembly since 2013.
