TUE has around 3000 employees, 240 professors, 7200 students, 250 PDEng students, and 760 PhD students. TUE is a research-driven, design-oriented university of technology, with the primary objective of providing young people with an academic education within the engineering science & technology domain. TUE forms part of the European CESAER, Santander and CLUSTER university networks, and has partnerships with universities around the world. The Dynamics and Control Group within the Department of Mechanical Engineering, will participate in the proposed project and it comprises 1 full-professor, 2 part-time professors, 2 associate professors, 4 assistant professors, 2 post-docs and 23 PhD students. This group was rated by the QANU-Research Review Mechanical Engineering 2008 as an excellent group (highest rating) with respect to quality, productivity, relevance and viability.
