The Deutsches Museum, founded in 1903 by Oskar von Miller, is today one of the largest Science & Technology museums in the world. It has about 1.4 million visitors per year. 32%, or about 450 000, of these visitors are pupils or students who use the museum as a place for informal learning. About 40% of the visitors come from abroad. The museum’s Internet website is visited by an additional audience of about 1.5 million per year.
